Last month parents across PV Schools were invited to take part in an annual school survey. I’m sharing the school results for Desert Springs Preparatory on our website and here in this communication with you. Our likert scale results and narrative responses are discussed and considered with our administrative team and school council. We set goals considerate of trend data found on these surveys and aim to respond to concerns expressed. Thank you for all those who responded.
This month, you have the opportunity to offer a special appreciation to teacher or staff members for exceptional service. The United Parent Council (UPC) honors PVSchools teachers and staff members annually through its Teacher + Staff Appreciation Program. Parents and students who wish to nominate a teacher or staff member who has made a difference by going above and beyond are invited to submit a nomination and include a description as to why the nominee is deserving of the award. Selected award recipients will be recognized at a special ceremony before the May 19th Governing Board meeting. This means a lot to those teachers/staff members nominated.
Visit to submit a nomination via our online process or to print out a nomination form - available in English and Spanish. Nominations must be received by 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2016. Late entries will not be accepted.
In just two weeks, we’ll host our PTA’s Spring Carnival, The Hawks Awaken. This cosmic event will take place on February 27th beginning at 10:30AM with a school tour offered by myself and our Kindergarten team at 10:00AM for families considering enrollment. Please invite friends to join us on this day.
Next Saturday, our PTA will hold our annual School Beautification Day. Please consider spending some time with us on Saturday, February 20th from 9:00AM to 12:00PM.
